Most Federal Holidays are NO BURN DAYS in all areas, unless otherwise designated in the table below:

Cal Fire residential burn permits are required throughout the district as of May 1, 2026. (Residents in Truckee are required to obtain a burn permit through the Truckee Fire Protection District).
